Hello and welcome to the online home of one of Scotland's favourite wedding and function bands.
We wanted to put this web site together to give you a wee keek under our collective sporrans so that you can find out a wee bit more about us, what we do and why you should book us for your wedding or party.
We've been performing together for around five years now and in that time we've suffered more broken bones, cuts and bruises than any other band we know. In fact our agent said we should change our name to the Klutz - but no matter how unlucky we are, we've never missed a booking or let anyone down. We just get patched up and get on with it. In some of our photos you'll see Ally wearing a big stookie on his broken leg sustained in a bizarre fence jumping incident.
So you know we're a bit clumsy off stage, but can we cut it on stage? Oh aye! Here's what one recent couple said; 'The Kilts were superb! Cracking band who managed to keep our whole wedding party on the dance floor all evening! I honestly couldn't recommend them enough. My wife and I had no idea on a first dance song and were changing out minds 2 weeks in advance in the wedding however it was no bother to them and they nailed it on the evening! Obviously, being a band that performs at every gig dressed in our trademark kilts, we play a really good ceilidh set if you fancy it. We'll 'call' the dances too and you may even see one or two of us on the dance floor with your guests (unless one of us has broken something). But first and foremost, we're a pop, rock, funk and soul covers bands. We play only the very best tunes, tried and tested dance floor fillers, so that you and your guests will have the time of your lives. Sore feet are pretty much guaranteed.
You know the music will be taken care of, but we are also particular about the hidden aspects of every performance so we're always punctual, our gear is the very best in the business and we have reliable transport. We've teamed up with the most respected entertainment agency in Scotland, Hireaband who've been taking care of the admin for Scotland's biggest names in covers bands since 1999. They make sure that all the boring paperwork is taken care of, dotting all the i's and crossing all the t's so that nothing is left to chance. We don't think there's a better combination in the land than The Kilts and Hireaband.
